FC Kansas City announced on Friday afternoon that midfielder Jen Buczkowski will retire in the middle of the season, with her last match coming next Friday against the Chicago Red Stars.
Buczkowski is the only player in NWSL history to start every single game for her team and has been a criminally underrated player throughout her career. A solid midfielder, who has been playing professionally since 2009, who has been a large part in FC Kansas City's success over the past three seasons, providing a destructive force in the midfield to opponent's attacks, which allowed the Blues' forwards more ability to create.
