Sporting Kansas City forward Daniel Salloi delivered a sparkling performance for the Hungary U-21s on Tuesday, scoring a goal and assisting another in a 2-0 victory over Cyprus at AEK Arena in Larnaca, Cyprus.
Salloi bagged the match-winner in the 50th minute and set up Attila Haris’ strike with 10 minutes remaining as Hungary vaulted into a tie for second place in Group 6 of UEFA European U-21 Championship Qualifying.
Four days after making his Hungary U-21 debut in a 2-2 draw with Sweden, Salloi fired the Magyars ahead early in the second half with a close-range blast after Cyprus goalkeeper did well to deny Dominik Szoboszlai and Bence Biro.
