The Kansas City Comets announced that they re-signed Kevin Ellis to a one-year deal for the upcoming 2020/21 season on Tuesday.
The former Sporting KC defender will enter his third season with the Comets but will be looking to complete his first full season after signing midway through the 2018/19 season and deciding to return to the Comets after missing out on the first seven games of last season.
Ellis, a graduate of Oak Park High School, was signed as SKC’s second-ever homegrown player in 2011 but saw very limited time in his first few years as a pro before having a breakout campaign in 2014.
