The Kansas City Comets continued their winning ways when they beat the Chicago Mustangs 7-6 Sunday. The victory was the Comets fifth straight win and their third straight decided by just one goal in the last seconds of the game.
Unlike Friday where the Comets had to make up a three goal deficit for the win, the mustangs and Comets were never more than two goals apart. The two central division rivals traded leads throughout the match.
Comets captain Vahid Assadpour led the team with two goals and earned the assist on Leo Gibson’s game winner with just 14 seconds left.
