The 2020 College Invitational Combine continued Saturday with the second doubleheader of a three-day event at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, Missouri, featuring the country's best college soccer players divided into four teams named after Sporting Legends.
The early stages of the opening contest between Team Hunt and Team Conrad saw Syracuse senior forward Luther Archimede nearly score for the second straight day, but his side-footed effort on the breakaway fizzed inches wide of Connecticut College goalkeeper A.J. Marcucci’s left-hand post in the 16th minute.
Team Hunt were rewarded for their strong start in the 28th minute, scoring the game’s lone goal on an emphatic header from University of Washington center back Ethan Bartlow off a corner kick.
