It’s getting closer to draft season for MLS and the NWSL who will both host their draft in January this year as part of the United Soccer Coaches Convention. Today the NWSL announced their preliminary list of players available for selection in this year’s draft. On the list are two players from the Kansas City area available for selection, Cecelia Kizer and Scout Watson. Kizer just finished her playing career at the University of Mississippi where she finished her career as the schools leading scorer with 48 goals and points with 119. In her senior year, Kizer scored 13 goals and added 19 assists.
