Former first overall pick by Sporting Kansas City, Chance Myers, has moved on from his playing career. A little less than a year after he was officially waived by the Portland Timbers, Myers has joined the upcoming Nashville MLS expansion side. Myers will become the club’s chief scout ahead of their entry into MLS in 2020. Myers struggled with injuries early in his career before hitting his stride in the 2011 season where he was part of arguably the best back line in Sporting’s history with Aurelien Collin, Matt Besler, and Seth Sinovic in front of Jimmy Nielsen in goal.
