Two former Sporting Kansas City players announced this week that at the end of their respective seasons they’ll be calling time on their professional careers. In Sacramento, Cameron Iwasa announced that he’d be retiring from the Sacramento Republic when the season is over. Iwasa is the all time leading scorer for the Republic and played most of his with the club, but in 2017 was with Sporting KC. Iwasa though never played with the first team though, instead he spent the majority of his time with the then Swope Park Rangers.
The other player calling it a career is Sal Zizzo, who is calling time on his career with the San Diego Loyal.
