Former Sporting Kansas City midfielder, Michael Harrington called it a career this past week, retiring from professional soccer after playing for 12 years on five different teams. Harrington started his career with Sporting, back in 2007, appearing in over 150 games in all competitions for the club. He then spent time with the Portland Timbers, Colorado Rapids, and Chicago Fire before finishing his career last year with North Carolina FC of the USL. He’ll be well remembered for the April Fool’s joke played on him in 2010.
