Former Sporting Kansas City and Swope Park Rangers defender, Amer Didic is headed back home to Canada. Didic, who started this season with San Antonio FC had his contract with the club terminated earlier this week after playing two games with the club. Didic has since signed for FC Edmonton, the club he’d played for growing up in Edmonton. It was a move that few people figured was coming when Didic had his contract with Sporting declined after the end of the 2018 season. Didic should provide a feel good homegrown story for Edmonton as they begin their inaugural campaign in the Canadian Premier League.
