Former Sporting Kansas City defender, Marcel De Jong has joined a new club after coming to a mutual agreement to end his contract with the Vancouver Whitecaps. De Jong will join the new Canadian Premier League and Pacific FC for the first season of the league. Pacific FC play in Langford, British Columbia on Vancouver Island, near the US/Canada border. The league will kick off later this year with their initial seven team league.
Elsewhere, two former draft picks in 2018 will be playing together in 2019. Will Bagrou and Wilfred Williams, both taking in the fourth round of last year’s Superdraft have signed to play to Orlando City B in USL League One, the third division in US Soccer.
