The Kansas City Comets continue to build towards their 2020-2021 season (now just 2021) and have added the son of a former player for the original Comets to the squad. Kyle McLagan, a KC native who has been playing professionally in Denmark and Iceland since graduating from Furman has signed for the Comets for the upcoming season. McLagan, whose dad, Doug McLagan played for the original Comets, made his debut in a preseason friendly this past week, recording an assist as the Comets defeated the Dallas Sidekicks in the Central Cup 8-3. The club also announced this past week that they’d re-signed another KC native for the upcoming season, Matt Lewis who played with both Detroit City and the New York Cosmos in the COVID disrupted 2020 NISA season.
