The 2019 AFC Asian Cup kicked off this weekend in the United Arab Emirates, and on the second day of the tournament former Sporting Kansas City forward, Sunil Chhetri was making national headlines. Not only did Chhetri help India to their first win at the competition in in 55 years with his two goals in the 4-1 win, but he also surpassed Lionel Messi and moved into second, behind Cristiano Ronaldo, among active international goal scorers with 67 for his career. Chhetri will look to move closer to Ronaldo over the next two games against the hosts, and against Bahrain.
