International soccer has returned fully this past week as most countries around the world had games in this month’s international window. In CONCACAF, World Cup qualifying kicked off for many countries, and a number of former players made appearances representing their country. One, former Sporting Kansas City forward Kharlton Belmar, made his debut. Belmar suited up for Grenada as they kicked off World Cup qualifying against El Salvador and the US Virgin Islands. Belmar started both games as they went 1-1, losing to El Salvador and beating the US Virgin Islands. Belmar becomes the second former Kansas City player to represent Grenada, joining former midfielder, Craig Rocastle.
