Across State Lines: Abdul-Salaam Debuts for Seattle

After spending the second half of the 2018 season on loan to Phoenix Rising in the USL, Saad Abdul-Salaam made his first MLS appearance in over a year, coming on as a substitute in stoppage time for the Seattle Sounders in their 1-1 draw with Los Angeles FC. Abdul-Salaam last appeared in an MLS game on 3/31/2018 when New York City FC defeated the San Jose Earthquakes 2-1. The rest of the 2018 season, Abdul-Salaam was either on the bench or on loan to the USL. This offseason, Abdul-Salaam signed with the Sounders and spent time with their USL side, the Tacoma Defiance, but with the Sounders injury issues, Abdul-Salaam has been on the bench for Seattle recently and has now made his debut for the MLS club.
