Jon Gilbert never wants to be considered the face of Southern Miss athletics.
That is every bit as true today as it was on Jan. 24, 2017, when he was introduced as the school’s athletic director. Instead, Gilbert prefers the spotlight shines on the Golden Eagles’ coaches and student-athletes.
“That’s not my style,” he said during a recent interview.
