The Southern Mississippi and Rice Owls baseball teams are scheduled to start their Conference USA four-game series on Friday, April 30.
Late Friday morning, it was announced the start of the series had been moved back to at least 4 p.m. CT.
At 11:35 a.m. CT on Friday, Rice baseball's Twitter account sent a tweet that said, "Due to inclement weather in the area, we have pushed back today's doubleheader to 4pm. We'll update you on any other changes throughout the day."
The teams were originally only set to play a single game Friday night, but they announced Thursday afternoon the change to a doubleheader Friday with single games Saturday and Sunday.
