Matt Wallner made what would have been a forgettable game memorable. In the bottom of the ninth inning, Wallner hit a two-run home run, his second of the day, over the center field wall. The two-run home run made Wallner the all-time home runs leader in Southern Miss history surpassing Marc Maddox (2003-2006) and bringing his total to 54 in his career.
