Michael Federico has made a career of identifying college baseball talent — especially on the pitching side of things.
Federico is in his eighth season as Southern Miss’ pitching coach and during his tenure, he has cherry-picked, recruited and mentored some of the best to ever toe the rubber for the Golden Eagles.
The list of hurlers to join the ranks at Southern Miss and climb the school record leaderboards while Federico has manned the pitching controls includes the likes of James McMahon, Bradley Roney, Andrew Pierce and Kirk McCarty. All of whom he saw pitch with his own two eyes before enlisting their services.
