DALLAS - Myles Gaskin burst onto the scene in the rough-and-tumble Pac-12 and put together a freshman season that exceeded most’s expectations.
The Washington running back amassed more than 1,100 yards and 10 touchdowns in the team’s first dozen games in 2015. In the Heart of Dallas Bowl Saturday against Southern Miss, Washington’s running back put the icing on the cake. Gaskin rushed for 181 yards and four touchdowns — both a Huskies and bowl record — on 26 carries.
On the strength of Gaskin’s monster performance, Washington defeated Southern Miss 44-31 at the Cotton Bowl in front of a crowd of 20,229.
