HATTIESBURG - Southern Miss locked up six junior college transfers Wednesday, the first day of the early signing period.
Four wide receivers (Allenzae Staggers, Isaiah Jones, Shannon Smith and Marquez McNair), a quarterback (Kwadra Griggs) and a safety (Tarvarius Moore) made good on their commitments to the Golden Eagles by signing their National Letter of Intent with the program.
In addition, South Panola defensive back Demetrius Market also signed with the Golden Eagles. All seven are expected to enroll in classes at Southern Miss in January.
One player previously committed to Southern Miss, Hinds Community College cornerback Charvarius Ward, flipped and signed with Middle Tennessee Wednesday.
