After months of waiting, the 2020 Major League Baseball season is scheduled to start on Thursday.
Plenty of changes are coming with a COVID-19 shortened season. The DH is coming to the National League. Games are being scheduled regionally instead of by league. Extra innings will start with a runner on second base.
But one of the most notable changes is the change to roster construction. All 30 MLB teams have picked a pool of up to 60 players to participate in "Spring Training 2.0." Those 60-man rosters are comprised of Major League players and top Minor League players who teams may choose to call up to the big leagues at some point this summer.
