No. 11 Southern Miss’ 10-7 loss to Tulane on Tuesday halted a nine-game winning streak, closing another chapter in what has become a trend under Scott Berry.
Since Berry was named head coach in 2010, the Golden Eagles (32-12, 16-4 Conference USA) have six streaks of at least nine victories and five of those streaks started after April 1.
“We’ve played well for so long. We won nine straight,” Berry said after the setback against the Green Wave.
