Southern Miss QB Jack Abraham picks apart UTEP defense, leads USM to victory

It was the Jack Abraham show Saturday evening as he lit up the University of Texas El Paso defense, completing 19 of 28 passes for 351 yards and three touchdowns as Southern Miss defeated the Miners 31-13 Saturday night at M.M. Roberts Stadium.

With the win, Southern Miss (3-2, 1-0 Conference USA) earned its first conference victory of the season.

The Golden Eagles finished the game with 483 yards of total offense while the Miners recorded 294 yards.

The final quarter of the game was quiet for both teams as Southern Miss missed on a 42-yard field goal and both teams exchanged punts through the remainder of the game.
