HATTIESBURG — Southern Miss baseball ace Tanner Hall has been named a first-team All-American by Collegiate Baseball.
The Conference USA Pitcher of the Year enters Friday's Hattiesburg Regional with a 2.69 earned run average and an 8-2 record.
Hall, a sophomore, has struck out 130 batters in 93.2 innings, while issuing only 11 walks.
The Friday starter is the first Southern Miss player to earn first-team All-American honors since fellow hurler Nick Sandlin earned that recognition for his outstanding 2018 season.
Hall and Southern Miss take on Army on Friday at 1 p.
