Southern Miss' football game against UAB has been canceled because of COVID-19 precautions within the Golden Eagles.
“The Southern Miss football game set for Friday, Nov. 27, at UAB has been canceled due to precautionary reasons resulting from COVID-19 concerns within the Golden Eagle program," the school said in a statement.
The cancellation marks the third time this season that the Golden Eagles (2-7, 1-4 C-USA) had a game postponed or canceled because of COVID.
Their matchup against Florida Atlantic, scheduled for Oct. 10, was postponed because of COVID issues within FAU’s program, and their game against UTEP the following week was canceled because of COVID cases within USM’s program.
