NCAA Tournament baseball could be headed to Hattiesburg for the third time ever.
Southern Miss and Pete Taylor Park were named as one of 20 potential host sites for an NCAA Regional on Friday. Sixteen of the 20 will host the first set of games of the NCAA Tournament during the first weekend of June.

The 16 host sites are usually determined after conference tournaments have finished, but the NCAA announced potential host sites early this year so venues can prepare for uniform COVID-19 precautions and regulations.
