A group of at least 25 scouts from NFL franchises now know what Reed can do as well. Southern Miss held its annual pro day Thursday and Reed, a 5-foot-11, 192-pound defensive back already drawing interest from a number of NFL teams, generated more buzz than any of the 17 former Golden Eagles or five former Alcorn State players in attendance.
Reed’s 41 ½-inch vertical jump and 4.38-second 40-yard dash time had scouts raving about his explosiveness and overall physical ability.
