Southern Miss football coach Jay Hopson breaks down what he saw from practice on Aug. 14, 2018. Nick Suss, Hattiesburg American
HATTIESBURG — For the 10th time this fall, the Southern Miss football team took the practice field on Tuesday, fighting through the hot sun and a growing number of injuries to turn out a high-energy practice.
The Golden Eagles had a fall-high of 13 players injured by the end of practice Tuesday, some of whom are nursing nagging injuries from the beginning of camp. Still, the list grows larger and larger by the day, though none of the players participating in the injury workouts seem to be seriously dinged.
