Nick Mullens is almost always the center of attention.
Especially during Eagle Walk, Southern Miss’ long-standing tradition where fans line the streets around M.M. Roberts Stadium two hours before kickoff of a home game. Led by the school’s marching band, cheerleaders and dance team, Golden Eagle players and coaches parade around the stadium, greeting and mingling with thousands of friends, family and well-wishers.
Mullens, Southern Miss’ (4-1, 2-0 in C-USA) prolific senior quarterback, is often the main attraction. Same goes for the media. The fourth-year starter has generated more press clippings and accolades than most of his teammates.
