We have a problem here.
It’s not an insurmountable one, and even if it is never fixed this season it’s not like it’ll be the first time or the last time it happens. But, on the day after both Ole Miss and Mississippi State coughed up leads to lose critical Southeastern Conference basketball games, we should probably deal with the idea that the state of Mississippi would go 0-fer if the NCAA Tournament began tomorrow.
It does not, of course -- there’s nearly two months of basketball to be played. But the Rebels (12-6, 2-4 SEC) and the Bulldogs (7-10, 0-5) are struggling heading into the rivalry game on Saturday in Starkville, and it’s not all that much better around the rest of the state.
