Southern Miss, ranked No. 19 in the USA Today Baseball Coaches Poll, enters the series 29-15 overall and 16-7 in CUSA. Most recently, Southeastern Louisiana beat Southern Miss 5-3 on Wednesday.
Middle Tennessee State comes into the series 21-21-1 overall and 10-13-1 in CUSA. On May 2, Louisiana Tech beat MTSU 6-1.
