HATTIESBURG - Practicing for the second time this spring in full pads, the Southern Miss football team raised the intensity level Thursday.
This pleased first-year Golden Eagle coach Jay Hopson.
“I thought we had a good day. I thought we practiced hard,” he said following the fourth session of spring camp. “Day two and day four have been really good. As far as effort and intensity, we had a good practice today. But we’ve got to continue that.”
Southern Miss spent more than 2 ½ hours on the playing surface inside M.M. Roberts Stadium after heavy rains moved through the Hattiesburg area early Thursday leaving the condition of Joe P.
