Former Southern Miss football player Dylan Reda said he tested positive for COVID-19, confirming what he suspected when he was hospitalized last month.
Over the course of several days in March, Reda said he experienced a fever, body aches and lost of taste. One day, he even coughed up blood, he said.
He went to an emergency room where he lives in Florida on March 20 and was diagnosed with a severe case of pneumonia. He was also tested for the coronavirus. Nearly two weeks later, he officially learned the results.
Reda was only hospitalized for two days when he told the doctors he would like to go home in order for someone else to have a bed.
