The most prevalent issues facing the Southern Miss football team in the first half of the season stemmed largely from a lack of execution, according to the coaching staff.
So the Golden Eagles (5-3, 3-1 C-USA) spent the two weeks prior to Saturday’s win over Marshall working on just that. “Getting back to basics,” several coaches called it last week.
After having a chance to digest the team’s performance and analyze the game film, the Southern Miss staff said it was clear the players made significant strides in most areas but added there’s still plenty of work to do.
