HATTIESBURG – After dropping the series opener on Friday night, the magic returned for the Southern Miss baseball teaSaturday.
Charlie Fischer laced a single to rightfield to score pinch runner Brant Blaylock in the bottom of the 10th to lead Southern Miss to a 5-4 victory over Central Arkansas Saturday afternoon at Pete Taylor Park/Hill Denson Field.
The walk-off win – known as Pete Taylor Park Magic to its fans - was the 19th for the program since the start of the 2017 season, including the 16th at its home facility. The win improved the Golden Eagles to 5-1 and evened the series with the Bears.
