Southern Miss' Reed Trimble was selected by the Baltimore Orioles with the No. 65 pick in the Competitive Balance Round B.
A second-year freshman, Trimble finished the season with Southern Miss red hot, batting .441 with seven home runs in a 12-game span.
The 6-foot, 21-year-old outfielder tied the NCAA Division I lead for most RBIs on the season with 72. Rated inside MLB's Top 150, Trimble has potential to do it all at the next level.
As a switch hitter with great speed around the base paths, Trimble could project to be a 20-20 player in the majors.
