The Southern Miss football team has been preparing to play Tulane in the Armed Forces Bowl on Jan. 4 in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
It will be the only game in town and the only college football game televised that day.
"We have a strong presence in the east Texas-Fort Worth Dallas area and it is a huge opportunity for exposure for our program," Southern Miss athletic director Jeremy McClain said. "Being able to play again going into the offseason and recruiting season is great for our program.
