HATTIESBURG — Southern Miss baseball's excellent season will end one stop short of Omaha.
The Golden Eagles (47-19) suffered a sweep at the hands of in-state foe Ole Miss (37-22) in the Hattiesburg Super Regional, their season culminating in a 5-0 defeat at Pete Taylor Park.
The Conference USA regular-season champions were shut out in both games of the super regional.
