Vincent Kompany has emerged a leading candidate to take over at Tottenham in the wake of Antonio Conte's departure last week, according to reports.
Conte, who furiously criticised his players before the international break following Spurs' disappointing 3-3 draw against relegation-threatened Southampton, left Tottenham by mutual consent last Sunday, leaving deputy Cristian Stellini in charge ahead of the team's trip to Goodison Park this weekend.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has already made contact with sacked Bayern Munich boss Julian Nagelsmann, who made way for Thomas Tuchel at the Allianz Arena last week, while ex-Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has also been linked with the job.
