Thomas Tuchel insists Christian Pulisic can still become a prominent feature in the Chelsea side despite the injury interruptions to his season.
The £58million American is a significant doubt for Saturday’s clash with Southampton with a tight calf – an issue that follows a number of muscular injuries since he joined from Borussia Dortmund in 2019.
Having played only 84 minutes of league football since Tuchel took over from Frank Lampard, there are questions over Pulisic’s place in the manager’s plans.
But Tuchel said: ‘Chelsea bought Christian for a reason - his quality and potential - and it is our job to get the best out of him.
