'They showed they have big hearts': Wolves boss Julen Lopetegui heaps praise on his side after they came from behind to beat Southampton despite having a player sent off

Southampton’s press conference room has started to forget what smiles look like but Julen Lopetegui was able to beam from ear to ear after 10-man Wolves came from behind to seal back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time since March last year.

Lopetegui has been a hit since arriving at Molineux and the Spaniard was bursting with pride at the ‘fight’ shown by his players after they cancelled out Carlos Alcaraz’s maiden Premier League goal and went on to take victory.

‘I am so proud of this team, the character they showed,’ Lopetegui said, hailing the impact of substitute Joao Gomes, who scored the winner in the 87th minute.
