Newcastle edged past Southampton 2-1 on the night, 3-1 on aggregate, to progress to the Carabao Cup final on Tuesday night.

Leading 1-0 from the first leg on the south coast, Eddie Howe's side went 2-0 up via Sean Longstaff, before Che Adams pulled one back. Bruno Guimaraes was sent off late on for the hosts in a testy, tetchy match.
