Southampton’s progress into the knockout stages of the Europa League was put on hold after losing 1-0 to Sparta Prague.
Costa Nhamoinesu scored the only goal of the game to confirm the Czech’s side place as group winners and make Claude Puel’s side wait a little longer until their progress is confirmed.
The Saints will advance to the knockout stages if they secure a goalless draw or beat Hapoel Be’er Sheva at St Mary’s in their final group game.
