Southampton striker Danny Ings has already resumed training after having surgery on a knee injury... with Ralph Hasenhuttl hopeful he could feature against Brighton on December 7

Southampton forward Danny Ings has made a swift recovery from a knee problem and manager Ralph Hasenhuttl hopes he could be back in contention for the upcoming game at Brighton.

England international Ings was forced off during the closing minutes of the 4-3 win at Aston Villa on November 1.

Following minor surgery on his left knee, the 28-year-old, who has scored five Premier League goals so far, had been expected to be sidelined for around six weeks.
