Southampton are hopeful of concluding a deal for Monaco striker Guido Carrillo after increasing their offer to £19million.

The 26-year-old Argentine striker is keen to link up with Mauricio Pellegrino.

Pellegrino also wants to bring in Quincy Promes from Spartak Moscow.

Meanwhile, Monaco have rejected a £39m offer from Napoli for Keita Balde.

The reigning French champions hold an interest in Leicester City's Islam Slimani.
