Morocco have confirmed Southampton's Sofiane Boufal will not take part in the Africa Nations Cup because of injury.
The 23-year-old has been released from his country's training camp ahead of the friendly against Finland in the United Arab Emirates.
A statement on the Morocco Football Association website confirmed Boufal 'left the gathering place of the team following confirmation of his injury by the medical staff', although there was no further information about what the injury was or the extent of the problem.
Morocco begin their Africa Nations Cup campaign against DR Congo on January 16, with the tournament in Gabon set to run until February 5.
