Claude Puel insisted Inter Milan's Antonio Candreva should have been sent off after Sam McQueen claimed the Italian elbowed him during Southampton's 2-1 Europa League victory.
Unlike McQueen, the Saints boss was adamant he had not seen Inter's apparent attempts to tamper with the penalty spot before Dusan Tadic's saved effort, but like his left-back he remained concerned about Candreva's conduct.
The result had taken Southampton to the brink of the competition's knockout stages, as well as ensuring a memorable evening against one of the most recognisable names in European football.

Virgil van Dijk's equalising goal and an own goal from Yuto Nagatomo secured victory after Mauro Icardi had given Inter the lead.
