Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has confirmed he may be forced to make a defensive signing, amid reports linking him with a move for Southampton target Martin Caceres.
Enrique is in need of back-up following a horrific ankle injury to Aleix Vidal, which is set to keep him out for the next five months.
However, with the transfer window shut, Barca's options are limited and they are now scouring the free agent list for potential recruits.
Caceres, 29, has been without a club since leaving Juventus in the summer and had been linked with a move to Southampton, who still looking for a replacement for departed captain Jose Fonte.
