Southampton are hoping to tie up a deal for Torino defender Lyanco following Jannik Vestergaard’s departure.
Vestergaard left Southampton for Leicester this week, leaving manager Ralph Hasenhuttl with a void to fill at the heart of his defence.
The St Mary’s club have identified Brazilian Lyanco as the man they want and are close to agreeing a deal with Serie A side Torino.

The 24 year-old, who has represented both Serbia and Brazil at youth level, has also been linked with Watford this summer.
